Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by
My name is Rich and I’m a personal trainer based in Framingham, MA. I currently conduct private 1-hour sessions at my clients’ homes from beginner level to advanced, and for the self-directed athlete I offer remote coaching, a monthly programming service. I started my professional career as a trainer in 1990 after leaving active duty with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. I obtained my first professional certification in Los Angeles in 1998 and continue to learn and develop my skills. An ACL reconstruction and springboard diving spinal injury were what drew me to this profession, and I specialize in injury rehabilitation, especially for older athletes, working closely with physical therapists to provide clients a bridge back to full function. If you’re interested in building your physical fitness please call me or send email. We will discuss your needs and schedule a first session and an assessment test. My cell # is 781-708-1219, and email is: coachrichardschmidt@gmail.com
My Approach
A personal, lifelong commitment to physical fitness is an investment in the health of mind, body, and spirit. This is a marathon, not a sprint. A lifestyle, not just a phase.
Dream it
This path is not for everyone. It is an investment of your time and money, it requires making what at first are difficult changes to your life, and sacrifices, but I can assure you that if you stay the course for 3 months, you may achieve more than you ever thought you could and you will feel confident in continuing your journey. I will encourage you every step of the way!
Build it
This may sound obvious, but developing your physical fitness takes time, especially for those over age 40, but it is never too late to start! The strength adaptation takes longer to achieve than conditioning or mobility, but I will show you how much can be done within a 1-hour session. For best results you should plan on 1 hour of movement each day (that’s 7 out of 168 hours per week!), varying in intensity from mild to strenuous. I’ve worked with clients who were severely disabled and yet still were able to build themselves stronger with a patient, personalized program.
